China National Pulp & Paper Corp. was set
up on January 1,1986, and is of an economic entity of independent legal status. Formerly
it was the Import Dept. of CHINALIGHT, and now it is a corporation direct under
CHINALIGHT. |

Business scope:
- Handles import and export business of
pulp, paper, cardboard, paper products, waste paper and other commodities permitted for
management by the state.
- Acts as agent for import and export
business of the said commodities and offers consultant and service of foreign trade
and economic cooperation entrusted by Chinese and foreign companies, enterprises and other
economic and trade organizations.
- Introduces and imports overseas
advanced paper and pulp-making technology and equipment, and undertakes economic and
technological exchange between China and foreign countries entrusted by enterprises inside
and outside China.

The corporation has handled paper and pulp
import business for more than 40 years, and is the major channel for China to do
import and export business of pulp, paper and waste paper. Following the reform of
foreign trade structure in China, the corporation also handles the import and export
business of other commodities stipulated by the State. Adhering to the principles of
equality, mutual benefit and helping to meet each other's needs, the corporation has
established long-term and stable trade relations with many customers in Taiwan, Hongkong
and Macao, and 40 countries and regions in north Europe, west Europe, north America, south
America, Oceania, Asia and Africa. In recent years, especially the export business
handled since 1988, the corporation has established closer contacts and cooperation with
customers in China, and plays an important bridge role, enjoying good reputation at home
